Yes, very sad. Not sure about the Vietnam navy report. BBC is saying that no sign of it yet, no wreckage, nothing.

Apparently that's been confirmed as false. The Vietnam report, not the BBC.

Just read in the Malaysian online papers that they are now reporting two huge oil slicks, 10 to 15 km long, consistent with a jetliner going down

So awful, and so strange that there was no indication of what went wrong before they lost complete signal. Heartbreaking for the loved ones.

Heartbreaking. Those poor people, no mayday would suggest it was quick, I do hope so. It must be hell for the families, not knowing what has happened must be terrible.

Just heard via the BBC and CNN that two years ago an Austrian national and an Italian national reported that their passports were stolen in Thailand.

Two passengers checked in for the Malaysian Airlines flight using those stolen passports and the original holders of the stolen passports are alive and definitely did not fly on that plane.

It seems rather suspicious.....

Passports being stolen is all too common, and they are stolen to be used; its not like they have any collector value.
