If true, then some hope for the families of the passengers. But...somewhat disturbing also.

So now they're saying it could have flown SEVEN hours! And could have reached Turkmenistan, which seems unlikely as it would have had to pass over, or very close to Afghanistan. I saw speculation on pprune several days ago that, given prevailing winds, MH370 might have had enough fuel to reach Somalia.

I was just reading that too.
"A satellite was able to pick up a signal from the plane until 08:11 local time - more than seven hours after it lost radar contact - although it was unable to give a precise location, Mr Razak said."
Unreal that nobody spotted it.
I doubt they will ever find it now.

It all seems a bit crazy doesn't it. If it was hijacked for terrorism, like blowing it up, then you'd think we would have heard something by now. What's the point if you don't take credit for your action. Or maybe just to spread general fear.
If it was hijacked for ransom then surely they'd have made contact with the demand. I suppose we wouldn't get information about that though would we.
Hijacked because of something or someone on board? Maybe special cargo?
Crew action? If your going to kill yourself as the pilot or co-pilot why fly on for so long and not just crash?
Maybe they needed a plane for something in the future? It's incredibly well planned to manage to hijack a plane midair and take it where you need it.

There were supposedly 20 specialists on board the flight who were 'involved in cutting edge technology used in defence purposes, including electronic warfare, such as weapons that can "cloak" or make planes invisible, appearing to vanish.'
If you can believe the examiner, of course.

There's a theory going round about the ethnic minority group Uigyor (sp?) In the west of China.....Muslim community. Apparently big troubles between them and China and speculation that they may have hijacked plane.....possibly with Malaysian Malay sympathisers.
But...as always....mere speculation.

My favourite is that the CIA took remote control (cf 9/11) and directed the plane to Diego Garcia. Pretty wild, but it's hard to say that anything is implausible, these days.
